In order to secure a bright future for our youth we the Optimist Club of Vista promote youth activities which develop strong minds, strong bodies, and strong character.
STRONG MINDS
We encourage strong academics by awarding scholarships to high school students. The Vista Optimist Endowment Fund provides these scholarships from a perpetual fund that grows each year. Only the interest accrued from the fund is used to provide scholarship grants to present and future students.

STRONG BODIES
We provide Vista's little league with use of Vista Optimist Fields of Dreams. The Fields of Dreams are two first-class, regulation fields, complete with stadium seating, concreate dugouts, night lighting on meticulously maintained grounds. We provide these fields at no cost, serving as an arena where young bodies become strong.

We sponsor many organized baseball and soccer teams. Organized sports provide a positive environment in which youths learn discipline, teamwork, cooperation and perseverence. Our oratorical contest teaches young people to rise above their fears and communicate their views. All these experiences help develope strong character.
